PA Program Mission Statement
"The Misericordia University Physician Assistant Program strives to attract intellectually talented and caring students who will be educationally transformed and mentored to become competent and compassionate Physician Assistants."
PA Program Goals
Recruit qualified applicants who have experience in dealing with diversity.
Deliver and advance a curriculum that ensures each graduate possesses the knowledge and skills necessary for entry into clinical practice.
Retain and graduate at least 92% of all matriculated students (on average, over initial three graduating cohorts in 2020, 2021, and 2022).
Achieve a first-time-taker PANCE passage rate of 90%, or better.
Demonstration of institutional commitment for continuing professional development of the principal faculty, medical director, and program director.

Statement from the PA Program:
(Please Note: The Misericordia University PA Program was granted Accreditation – Provisional status by ARC-PA in March 2018. The initial cohort of students began classes on July 9, 2018. As such, no data currently exits regarding progress towards achieving Program Goals. Goals I, II, and V will begin to be updated after the initial cohort of students completes their didactic year (summer 2019), and annually thereafter. Goals III and IV will be updated after the initial cohort of students graduates and completes the Physician Assistant National Certification Examinations. Thereafter, the program will update and publish information regarding success in meeting its goals annually).
